The key is to engage your target last in this situation. Don’t ignore her if she introduces herself to you; however, continue to engage every other member of her group.

Why is it important to do it this way? When you approach a woman this way, you do three things: you do not project your intent early on (which is very important); you don’t come off as “too interested” (which is attractive to very pretty women who are accustomed to attention); and most importantly, you force your target to accept you.

That’s right! It is called social proof. If you gain the approval of your target’s group first, she will be forced to accept you as well. That’s it – that’s how to pick up women at a bar, or at least what has worked for me. The most important thing you can do is take some action. Get out and meet people. You’ve gotta start somewhere.
